Booking & Payments
How do I book a session?
A 50% deposit is required to secure your session date and time. The remaining balance is due before delivery of your final photo gallery.
What’s the deposit for?
This is your non-refundable retainer. This fee reserves your exclusive date and time in my calendar, ensuring I turn away other work for you. It's applied toward your total session cost. Retainers are non-refundable.
Do you charge a rush fee for last-minute bookings?
Yes! Sessions booked with less than 72 hours’ notice incur a 25% rush fee.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards, PayPal, and Venmo. Sales tax and any applicable shipping fees will be added as required.
Do you offer payment plans?
Let’s secure the vision! Yes, for custom Brand Blueprint packages over $500, I can arrange a two or three-part payment plan after the initial 50% deposit is paid. All payments must be finalized before the session delivery date.
Session Details
Where do sessions take place?
I specialize in on-location photography. Sessions within 10 miles of ZIP code 78753 are included. For locations beyond this radius, additional travel fees apply—just contact me for a custom quote. Studio sessions can be arranged, with rental fees quoted upfront.
What if the weather is bad?
If inclement weather prevents your session, I’ll reschedule at no extra charge. If, however, we are unable to agree upon a mutually acceptable reschedule date, you will receive a full refund of all money paid.
What if I (Love’s Apprentice) have to cancel?
If I have to cancel (Camera failure, illness, etc.): This is extremely rare, but if Love's Apprentice cannot perform the session due to severe illness, technical failure, or an "Act of God," and am unable to reschedule, you will receive a full refund of all money paid. I will also do my best to refer you to a reputable alternative photographer.
Session Prep
What should I wear?
Dress like the boss you are! Solid colors and neutrals always photograph beautifully. We recommend avoiding busy patterns, logos, or neon colors that can distract.
Can you bring outfit changes?
Yes! Check your package details for the number of outfit changes included.
Can I bring anyone else?
Your hype person, yes. Your whole squad, maybe not. Please bring one friend, assistant, or family member if you need help with wardrobe, kids, or just need a confidence boost! However, to keep the focus and flow right, we ask that you limit it to one extra adult unless otherwise agreed upon for a family or group package.
Deliverables
When will I get my photos?
Your final gallery will be delivered within 3 weeks of your session, contingent upon receipt of your final payment. Rush editing (7-day turnaround) is available for 30% of your session fee.
Do I get to pick my favorite photos?
For curated sessions, I select the images that best reflect your personality and my artistic standards.
Curio Collection: Receive 5 fully edited images selected by me.
Relic Select: Receive 10 fully edited images selected by me.
Folio Plus: Select from 25 edited images out of no less than 100 previews.
Why don’t you give clients all photos or RAW files?
RAW files are unprocessed and require professional editing. I deliver only polished, gallery-ready JPEGs to ensure quality and preserve my artistic standards.
Can I buy extra photos after the session?
Yes! Additional edited images are available for $50 each.
Do I use AI (Artificial Intelligence) in my work?
Yes! I use AI-powered tools for things like background replacement, video efficiency, or minor retouching to create the most dynamic content and deliver your gallery quickly. AI is a powerful tool I use to enhance my creative process.
What if I don't want AI used in my project?
No worries, but know this: If you require a guaranteed 100% human-only workflow, please notify me in writing when booking your session. Because this requires manual, time-intensive processes, a 25% Manual Creation Fee will apply to your total package price. I need this heads-up to ensure I don't start the process and waste both your time and mine!
What is the file resolution?
The resolution is high-impact, baby! All final images are delivered as high-resolution JPEGs, optimized for both print and digital use. The key detail? They are delivered at 300 dpi (dots per inch), which is the industry standard for professional printing and ensures your photos look sharp and amazing no matter the platform. I guarantee they're high quality enough to build your brand and your vision!
Studio Sessions
Do you have a studio?
I partner with local studios to provide professional spaces. Studio rental fees are quoted upfront.

Do you offer video?
Yes! Short-form video packages start at $350 for a 1-minute highlight reel.
What’s the turnaround time for video?
Video deliverables are completed within 10 business days. Rush editing is available for 40% of your package fee.
Policies
What’s your cancellation policy?
The retainer is non-refundable. Cancellations with less than 7 days' written notice and no-shows will forfeit the retainer. If you cancel more than 7 days out, you forfeit the retainer but are not responsible for the remaining balance.
What if I’m late to my session?
Sessions start and end at the scheduled times. Late arrivals will not receive extended shooting time.
Usage Rights & Contact
What about copyright/licensing?
You get the license, I keep the copyright. We maintain the copyright to our work, but you receive a full personal and commercial print/usage license to use your final images for your website, social media, marketing, and printing. You cannot sell or submit them to contests without written permission.
Will my images be used in your portfolio or marketing?
By booking, you grant permission for select images to be used for Love’s Apprentice promotional purposes. If you have preferences or limitations, notify me in writing at booking.
Do you work with nonprofits?
Yes! Contact me for custom nonprofit packages.
